So after waiting a week for my seat brackets I get this e-mail.
Next car I buy is going to be something simple with a large aftermarket.

My generation of Accent has no aftermarket either, for obvious reasons....still sucks though! :(

Or you can just invest in all the tools and parts to jury rig anything and make all your own parts for ones that don’t exist.

It pays to have friends/family in metal-working shops, in garages, in auto body shops, in parts stores, etc...
The more connections you have the easier it is to go “hey can you make this/get this for me really quick/do this for me” and have the parts at your doorstep within a day or two.

See, the joke in my post is that I actually am horribly misusing odd parts in weird combinations and accumulating a wide range of sheet metal and other fab tools to do exactly what I describe in my response.

I must have missed your humor. Apologies.

No worries. I don’t always fly my “I do loony projects” flag very high.
